Young and the Guest List goes business professional

For some, making Washington Life’s “Young and the Guest List” is synonymous with “making it” in Washington. This year’s list represents the more than 250 “opinion makers” under 40 with a special emphasis on savvy business types. “This year we paid homage to so many of the business owners, start-ups and entrepreneurs that are creating businesses and adding to the city’s economy,” Washington Life magazine executive editor Michael Clements told Yeas & Nays.

So who made it this year? Probably the most familiar face on this year’s cover is that of WJLA sports reporter Britt McHenry, who poses alongside Nicole Brener-Schmitz, the federal political and field director International Brotherhood of Teamsters, and Alex Skatell, the media director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee.

Those given special attention of the magazine’s pages include filmmaker Lucas Baiano, Refinery29 Washington editor Holly Thomas, business partners Jesse Thomas and Leslie Bradshaw of Jess3, France 2 Correspondent Laurent Desbois and Alton Lane co-founders Colin Hunter and Peyton Jenkins. Oldies, but goodies, like Spike Mendelsohn, Tommy McFly, Kate Michael and Andrew Noyes made a return as well — along with, in full disclosure, Yeas & Nays.
