Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden hit back at the Trump campaign for one of its most frequently used talking points a mere three days before Election Day: that the former vice president doesn’t leave his basement.
Both President Trump and members of his campaign have accused Biden of hiding in his basement to avoid scrutiny and live campaign events.
Biden posted a photo on Twitter of himself Saturday during a drive-in campaign event in which the parking lot was packed and people stood outside their vehicles to get closer to him. The photo was captioned, “Who let all these people into my basement?” It was a clear reference to the Trump campaign’s dig.

The president has shared that talking point 10 times on social media since the beginning of August and has said it on a number of other occasions.
The Biden campaign did not do much in-person campaigning after he became the party’s nominee through the summer as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. The former vice president has made the president’s handling of the pandemic a central theme to his campaign and has often sat back and let Trump take the spotlight.
