Police: Quadriplegic killed by painkiller overdose
Police say a Maryland quadriplegic man died in February from an oxycodone overdose, and a medical examiner has ruled his death a homicide.
Howard County police said 51-year-old Kevin Molony was found dead in his home on Feb. 27. Family members and nurses had been caring for Molony since he was paralyzed in a 2007 car accident.
An initial autopsy did not determine his manner of death. Police said Monday that further testing showed he died from an overdose of the prescription painkiller and the death was a homicide.
No charges have been filed in the death.
