Lockheed employees to be honored for volunteer work

More than 4,000 employees at Bethesda-based Lockheed Martin will be presented with President George W. Bush’s President’s Volunteer Service Award and will be honored at a ceremony next week.

The award is given to employees who log more than 100 hours of community service in a year. Thousands of Lockheed Martin employees, including those being honored, volunteered a total of more than 1.3 million hours last year.
