Steven Crowder can’t find any liberal churches that will take refugees [VIDEO]

Liberals continue to assert that they advocate for the resettlement of refugees. Not only are Hollywood elites pleading for it, but also left-leaning religious institutions. The Unitarian Church, the Presbyterian Church (USA), and others often petition the public as well as the government to accept refugees. But they would not do the same if given a chance.

Conservative personality Steve Crowder took it upon himself to ask local churches directly if they would be willing to provide housing and care for refugees since they provide community activities for refugees once they are settled.

To his surprise, out of all the churches that he contacted, none had the facilities to accommodate refugees. The staff he spoke with would not consider extending themselves to help refugees in need of basic care.

The fact that these religious institutions cannot practice what they preach is unsettling. The system for refugee resettlement already requires using government funding to facilitate basic care, housing, and education. Federally subsidized programs are expected to receive this type of funding. Other religiously affiliated institutions make money for doing so.

There are nine well-known refugee resettlement agencies: the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), Lutheran Immigrant Aid Society (LIRS), International Rescue Committee (IRC), World Relief Corporation, Immigrant and Refugee Services of America (IRSA), Immigrant Aid Society (IAS), Church World Service (CWS), Domestic and Foreign Missionary Service of the Episcopal Church of the USA, and the Ethiopian Community Development Center (ECDC).

They all file to receive funding to continue accepting refugees. The funding does not go to the refugees they resettle. The grants received go back to the organization. The more refugees an organization assists, the more government grants the organization collects.

Progressive church institutions that push for refugee relief do not consider that they are helping other organizations make a profit, instead of directly assisting the refugees.

This is a dishonest way of supporting a program that does not follow the prescription of genuine charity.
