Country sweetheart Taylor Swift earned more than $35 millino dollars in 2011, making her Billboard’s top Money Maker of the year. The list, released Friday, ranks artists based on income from tours, album sales and other royalities. U2 came in second, with Kenny Chesney, Lady Gaga and Lil Wayne rounding out the top five.
