WATCH: Coast Guard seizes more than $1 billion of narcotics

The Coast Guard seized roughly 54,500 pounds of cocaine and 15,800 pounds of marijuana and brought the load to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they said it was worth approximately $1.06 billion.

“We have collectively struck a significant blow to transnational criminal networks by removing 30 metric tons of drugs,” Capt. Todd Vance, commanding officer of the U.S. Coast Guard cutter James, said.
