Beyonce delighted Hillary Clinton supporters during a concert Friday evening with a surprise performance and a full-throated endorsement of the Democratic nominee.

“Less than 100 years ago, women did not have the right to vote. Look how far we’ve come,” the pop singer said before launching into song in which she was accompanied by pantsuit-clad backup dancers.

“We have to vote. The world looks to us as a progressive country that leads change. Eight years ago, I was so inspired to know that my nephew, a young black child, could grow up knowing his dreams could be realized by witnessing a black president in office,” she added. “And now, we have the opportunity to create more change.

“I want my daughter to grow up seeing a woman lead our county,” Beyonce said, “and know that her possibilities are limitless. We have to think about the futures of our daughters, our sons, and vote for someone who cares for them as much as we do,” she said.

Beyoncé concluded to thunderous, screaming cheers, “And that’s why I’m with her.”

Her remarks were made during a “get out the vote” concert hosted by her husband, Jay Z. Other performers included Big Sean, J. Cole and Chance the Rapper.

Clinton joined the headliners later on stage to deliver a brief message to concertgoers.

“I thank Beyoncé for standing up and showing the world we are strongest when we look out for each other,” the Democratic nominee said.

“And I thank Jay for addressing in his music some of our biggest challenges in the country: Poverty, racism, the urgent need for criminal justice reform. And remember, Jay memorably said something we should all recall. Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther could walk, and Martin Luther walked so Barack Obama could run, and Barack Obama ran so all the children could fly,” she added.

Hillary Clinton ended by encouraging the audience to vote in the Nov. 8 general election.

“Well, we have unfinished business to do. More barriers to break. And with your help, a glass ceiling to crack once and for all,” she said. “I want to be a president who helps everybody fulfill their God-given potential. And I can’t do that unless, on Tuesday, we decide what kind of country we want to be.”

Beyonce sang the national anthem at President Obama’s second inauguration in 2013. She admitted later that she was lip syncing.
