A man and woman were arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Gaithersburg, officials said.
Ronda Fitzpatrick, 21, of Chevy Chase, was charged with armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Danylo Demidenko, 22, of Derwood, was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery, Montgomery County police said.

Shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a robbery report at Goshen Road and Girard Street. The victim told police that a white female with a small black handgun took her purse and then fled on foot, police said. Demidenko watched from a close distance, police said.
