Moments after special counsel Robert Mueller turned over his long-awaited report on the Russia investigation to Attorney General William Barr, 2020 Democratic presidential candidates began calling for its immediate release.

As well as calling for an immediate release of the report, Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., demanded Barr testify publicly on the report’s findings.
Americans deserve to know the truth now that the Mueller report is complete. The report must be released immediately and AG Barr must publicly testify under oath about the investigation’s findings. We need total transparency here.

It is up to Barr how much of the confidential report will be released to Congress and the public. Barr said Friday he was reviewing the report and he “may be in a position” to brief lawmakers on the report’s “principal conclusions” as soon as this weekend.
