Sulaimon Brown, others, to testify at D.C. Council hearing

The long awaited D.C. Council hearing on executive salaries and hiring decisions featuring Gray administration scandal stars such as Sulaimon Brown and Gerri Mason Hall is set to kickoff at 11 a.m.

As you may recall, Brown has accused Mayor Vince Gray of offering him a job in his administration if Brown would stay on the campaign trail and continue his attacks on then-Mayor Adrian Fenty. Brown did land an administration job paying a $110,000-a-year salary. He was fired from it after less than a month.

In an earlier go-around of witnesses testifying on the issue, we learned that it was Gray’s former chief of staff Hall who was pushing for Brown to get a job.

Thursday, we may just learn why.
