TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — A man has died after being crushed by a forklift at a Tampa steel supply company.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office says the incident occurred early Thursday at Infra-Metals as 51-year-old Ricardo McCalop was operating a forklift carrying a heavy steel beam.
According to officials, McCalop was moving the beam when it struck a pile of beams, causing the beam on the forklift to shift. The forklift tilted and fell on top of the man.
