On Super Tuesday, a certain number of Washington VIPs turned their attention away from politics and toward … diamonds.
The event was a dinner party to celebrate the new DeBeers store in the Tysons Galleria, as well as honor Jean-Marie and Raul Fernandez, the chairs of the Washington Ballet’s Spring Gala.

Those spotted at The Lindens, the 350-year-old D.C. home of Ken Brody, were: Washington Ballet artistic director Septime Webre, DeBeers CEO Guy Laymarie, David and Katherine Bradley, Jim Kimsey and the ambassadors of Russia, Afghanistan, Singapore and South Africa.
Unfortunately for guests, no diamonds were given away.
