Hosted by power wives Alma Powell and Jackie Duberstein, the event drew about 75 women (including Aerin’s mother, Jo Carole Lauder) for the local debut of Aerin’s new Tuberose Gardenia Private Collection fragrance, which was inspired by her grandmother Estée Lauder’s perfume of the same name.
Each time she launched a new fragrance, Estée would go behind the counter at the original Saks in New York and sell it herself. So too, then, did Aerin, selling the first two signed boxes to Powell and Duberstein.
