Disney names Bob Chapek as new CEO, to replace Bob Iger immediately

The Walt Disney Co. announced that it’s replacing CEO Bob Iger with Bob Chapek.

The Tuesday announcement is effective immediately, and Iger will stay on as the company’s executive chairman through the end of 2021, when his contract runs out.
