Even as the Supreme Court deliberated through oral arguments in the Arizona immigration case, over 100 handicapped protesters showed a sense of déjà vu protesting in favor of Obamacare.
The high court held its controversial deliberations on the health care law almost a month ago.
But Adapt, a handicapped activist group, chose the date of what possibly is the second most controversial case being heard this term to press their case.
The group held a mock trial on the court’s steps demanding that the court find Obamacare constitutional, so handicapped Americans aren’t forced into nursing homes if the law is overturned.
The group particularly is concerned about the Community Choice provision that provides funding for home care for the disabled via Medicaid.
The demonstration came a day after 100 people from the group were arrested at the Canon House Office Building protesting the Ryan budget’s cuts to Medicare.
