Looks like blood is thicker than flour.
Khloe Kardashian, who once posed nude for the anti-fur group PETA, is no longer lending her support to the organization.
After Kim Kardashian was hit with a flour bomb on the red carpet last week, PETA not only pledged to support the alleged attacker if Kim pressed charges, but lashed out at the reality star, according to People magazine.
“I just received word that the woman responsible has very close ties to PETA, despite PETA publicly stating otherwise,” Khloe blogged. “Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior.”
She added: “I don’t condone violence and bullying and what happened last Thursday was just that.”
PETA soon responded with: “Khloe is just defending her sister, and we know she has a good heart, so we wish her well. We just wish she also had more influence on her sister.”
People says Kim has yet to say whether she plans to press charges against the alleged attacker. TMZ has been reporting that she will do so this week.
Pleasantville
Looks like everyone is excited about Reese Witherspoon’s pregnancy.
An Us Weekly source says the Oscar winner’s two children “will love having a baby brother or sister.”
The source went on to say that Reese’s husband, Jim Toth, wasn’t sure about having kids until he met his future wife.
As for Reese, Us says she wants to take some time off now that she’s expecting baby No. 3. She is about 13 weeks along and is reportedly craving Taco Bell.
And that’s about as juicy as the gossip gets when it comes to Ms. Witherspoon.
Black and bleu reputation
Speaking of juicy. A steakhouse in Watkinsville, Ga., is rethinking an interesting new menu item.
The restaurant has been promoting its new “black and bleu” ribeye sandwich as being inspired by Chris Brown’s assault on Rihanna, thehollywoodgossip.com reports.
Chops & Hops has been advertising the sandwich, which is available for one day only, tweeting, “Chris won’t beat you up for eating this unless your name starts with a R and ends with A.”
Not surprisingly, customers didn’t find the jokes about a real assault very funny.
Richard Miley, the steakhouse’s owner, isn’t apologizing but has said, “I was not trying to make a joke of domestic violence, just bringing light to the situation through food,” he said. “I do not regret doing it. I don’t regret anything.”
