Mike Pence is “excellent general and cardiovascular health,” according to a letter from his physician made public Saturday.
The Republican vice presidential nominee and governor of Indiana got a clean bill of health from his doctor, Michael Busk of St. Vincent Health in Indianapolis.
Busk wrote that to Pence that he maintains a “healthy lifestyle and prevent disease through your lifestyle and by practicing the adult preventative care guidelines. You are medically able to maintain your high level of professional work and your physical activity programs without limitations.”
At his most recent check-up, in July, the 57 year-old Pence was measured at 5’10” and weighed 208 pounds.
Pence takes medication for allergies and controls his diet to prevent heartburn, but otherwise isn’t on any kind of medical regimen.
Busk attributed Pence’s health in part to that he bikes and exercises four times a week.
Like his running mate, Pence does not smoke or drink alcohol.
