Mitt Romney: Midterms reflect Americans ‘passing judgment’ on Obama

Mitt Romney said Tuesday night that Americans are using the midterm elections to “pass judgment” on the record and vision of President Obama’s administration.

“Republicans are running on the issues facing us, Democrats are running on attacks,” the former GOP presidential candidate said on Fox News.

Republicans winning a Senate majority would be a huge indication that the “American people are tired of gridlock,” the former Massachusetts governor said.

Romney said he hopes the new majority passes border security and other immigration bills. “I hope [Obama’s] willing to sign some of them,” he said.

He dodged hypothetical questions about running for president in 2016 — something many Republicans have been hoping and pushing for.

Romney campaigned in 27 states this midterm election season because “almost all those people helped me in 2012.”

“I am going to continue to fight and campaign for people who I believe in, that can get the country going in the right direction,” he said.
