Arlington man charged with hijacking bus in N.C.

An Arlington man is accused of hijacking a Greyhound bus that was traveling from Richmond to Raleigh at gunpoint Thursday night.

The Associated Press reports that 32-year-old Jose Flores was taken into custody near Norlina, about 60 miles north of Raleigh, and has been charged with kidnapping.

Authorities say Flores order the driver to hand over the bus, which was carrying 35 passengers, at gunpoint. Police surrounded the vehicle at a gas station, and Flores was arrested after he was hit with a stun gun.

No one was injured.
