Even though he’s never seen an episode of the show, actor Samuel L. Jackson can do a pretty mean slam poem about Boy Meets World.
Appearing on The Tonight Show on Tuesday, the RoboCop actor recited an epic slam poem filled with references from the hit ’90s show.
“Boy meets world,” Jackson said in the halting cadence often used in slam poetry. “Boy greets world. ‘Hello world! I’m Cory Matthews.’ Short and average, head full of curls.”
After reciting the poem, Jackson sat down to talk with host Jimmy Fallon. The actor admitted he’s never seen an episode of the sitcom.
“I was Googling last night, and like, ‘What?'” Jackson explained of his research for the poem.
