Rookie swingman Alonzo Gee’s second 10-day contract with the Wizards (21-51) also expired Sunday. According to reports, he won’t return to Washington after signing through the end of next year with San Antonio. Gee had started the last two games.

With Al Thornton also having missed the last two contests with a hip flexor strain, Washington could be down to just nine players when it tips off against the Rockets (36-36).
