Obama’s war on terror just beginning

The war on terror is over,” a senior official in the State Department recently told National Journal. NJ’s Michael Hirsh goes on to report that the Obama administration now believes now “it is no longer the case, in other words, that every Islamist is seen as a potential accessory to terrorists.”

The same is not true of how the Obama administration views their our countrymen. Obama senior strategist David Axelrod told CNN’s Candy Crowley, “I think there are a lot of Republicans in Congress who want to cooperate … but they’re in the thralls of this reign of terror from the far right that has dragged the party to the right.”

It is unclear who the Obama administration views as a bigger threat to national security, Islamists or Republicans.
