Authorities are looking for the vehicle that struck and seriously injured a pedestrian in Ashburn.
The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office said a 55-year-old woman was trying to cross Gloucester Parkway at Ashby Ponds Boulevard on Thursday night when she was hit. The male driver fled from the scene.
The vehicle is described as a dark-colored, four-door car. It has alloy rims and likely has damage to the front-end passenger side, the sheriff’s office said.
The woman was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
