A 1-year-old and two others were killed on Monday at a pool in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, authorities say.
The shooting occurred at about 7:55 p.m. near an apartment complex on College Drive, police detectives told a local CBS affiliate. Investigators said they believed an unknown male subject entered the gated pool area where several people were gathered. The subject then approached two male individuals who were sitting near the pool.
A struggle ensued before the suspect fired several gunshots into the two men, who have been identified as 17-year-old DeWayne Dunn Jr. and 20-year-old Reginald Thomas. They succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

The infant, Ja’Tyri Brown, was playing near the pool at the time and was also struck with a bullet. The 1-year-old later died from injuries at a local hospital.
An investigation continues, and police did not indicate a suspect has been detained.
