Maryland’s the name – license fraud is our game. The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration is considering proposing legislation to require proof of “legal presence” to get a license in our state. Finally. Maryland is the only state in the eastern half of the country not requiring residency proof — which means we are flooded with license requests from all over the country from those not qualified to live in this country and who could, like 9/11 terrorist Hani Hanjour who obtained an identification card from an MVA branch in Maryland, seek to harm the United States. The legislature should not waste any time passing the bill.
