A super PAC supporting Jeb Bush’s presidential campaign unveiled a series of advertisements set to air in South Carolina that target Donald Trump, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.
One of Right to Rise’s ads shows images of Cruz and Rubio while a narrator knocks the senators for failing to stand up to Donald Trump.
“While some candidates suck up to Trump or run away from him in fear, Jeb Bush isn’t afraid,” a narrator says. “He stands up to Trump for his liberal Democratic positions; calls out Trump for insulting women, attacking the disabled, even trashing a decorated war hero.”
“Jeb Bush. The better man.”
Another ad shows an ice sculpture of Trump melting while a narrator talks about the reality television star’s various positions.
“Donald Trump. Look past the boasting and you’ll see right through him,” the narrator says. “Poll after poll show him losing to Hillary Clinton. If Trump wins, conservatives lose.”
The two ads come after Bush’s presidential campaign canceled $2 million of advertising in the Palmetto State, with the knowledge that Right to Rise would go up on air instead. Bush, who ranks fifth out of six candidates in the Washington Examiner‘s newest GOP presidential power rankings, echoed the super PAC on Friday and said a Trump victory would be a “disaster” for America.
Bush will continue to campaign in South Carolina this weekend.
