President Trump commended the unity within the Democratic Party, jabbing Mitt Romney in the process.
During a Monday press conference, Trump called House Democrats “lousy politicians” that “fight dirty,” but commended them for being effective.
“I think they’re lousy politicians. But two things they have: they’re vicious and they stick together,” said Trump.
In commending the Democrats, Trump also landed a hit on Romney, who has been one of the president’s loudest Republican critics.
“They don’t have Mitt Romney in their midst,” said Trump. “They don’t have people like that. They stick together. You never see them break off. You never see somebody go out.”

Trump noted that he respects Texas Rep. Will Hurd, who has also been a Republican Trump critic, for his statements questioning the impeachment inquiry, especially the details surrounding the alleged quid pro quo with Ukrainian leaders.
“That’s why I respected so much what I watched with Will Hurd today because he was one of the few who didn’t seem to be there and yet he made a statement: ‘I haven’t seen any complaints whatsoever from the Ukrainians,’” said Trump.
Over the weekend, Romney’s anonymous Twitter account became public, revealing some of the senator’s previously unsaid opinions.
