Snow causes school delays, cancellations

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow… unless, of course, you want your kid to learn how to cross-multiply fractions.

Montgomery County schools are opening two hours late Friday, citing “emergency weather conditions,” and canceling all activities before 10:30 a.m.

Prince George’s schools also will open two hours late, with no transportation for any activities before noon; all field trips are canceled too. Fairfax and Loudoun also will start its kids two hours later (magic number, no?).

D.C.’s on track for a normal day, but Prince William schools are closed — keeping the youngsters inside and warm. No word from Arlington and Alexandria, so things seem to be on track.

Fractions, ahoy!
