‘She is scared’: Juror from Harvey Weinstein trial in hiding after she ‘started getting threats’

A juror from the Harvey Weinstein trial has gone into hiding after speaking publicly about the former media mogul’s conviction.

“She started getting threats on social media and through emails [saying] that she is a snitch and how could she do that,” the juror’s sister told the New York Post on Thursday. “She is scared.”

The anonymous juror, known as Juror #2, gave an interview this week to Inside Edition, in which she talked about the impact of the guilty verdict.

“Every last woman that took the stand, I wish them the best. I hope this is now a chapter that they can close and move forward with their lives now,” she said about Weinstein’s accusers.

The interview resulted in threats that caused the juror to shut down her online presence and flee her New York City apartment.

“She deactivated her social media and left three days ago,” her sister said. “She thought if she spoke once, everyone would leave her alone.”

Weinstein was convicted of first-degree sexual assault and third-degree rape on Monday. He still faces more sex crime charges in California.
