Author Peter Schweizer makes bold prediction on Hunter Biden after New York Times admits laptop legit

Author Peter Schweizer, whose books have cataloged the dubious dealings of the Clinton and Biden families, thinks he knows what’s behind the New York Times’s long-delayed admission that Hunter Biden’s damning laptop is not a Russian disinformation operation after all.

Schweizer told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo that the March 16 article, which dropped the bombshell acknowledgment in the 24th paragraph after 16 months of liberal media denials of the laptop’s legitimacy, is a sign the Biden family is bracing for an indictment of the first son.

“I think this New York Times piece, the fact that they got cooperation from Team Biden and probably from the Hunter Biden legal team, is an indication that they are extremely concerned he’s going to be indicted,” Schweizer told Bartiromo on Sunday.

Noting that a grand jury has been probing the case since 2018 as part of U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware David Weiss’s investigation, Schweizer said delays caused by COVID-19 appear to be over and a true bill could be on the way.

“It’s back up and running, and it’s very clear that when it comes to the issues related to the tax evasion and money laundering and the other issues wrapped up with it, they are extremely concerned Hunter Biden’s going to be indicted,” Schweizer said. “And I think this article is an effort to frame the conversation in a way that could be the most favorable to them.”

Schweizer is the author of Red-Handed: How American Elites Get Rich Helping China Win, which features a picture of President Joe Biden shaking hands with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He is also the author of Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite, whose cover also includes a picture of Biden, and Clinton Cash: The Untold Story of How and Why Foreign Governments and Businesses Helped Make Bill and Hillary Rich.

Schweizer said the laptop, which contains damning images of Hunter Biden smoking crack, lurid text and email exchanges with various women, and dozens of apparent references to his shady international business dealings, is a trove of evidence for Weiss’s investigation. The laptop story was broken by the New York Post prior to the 2020 election, but it was stifled by social media platforms, including Twitter and Facebook. Over the last 16 months, other outlets, including the Washington Examiner, have reported on revelations from the laptop, although media outlets such as the Washington Post, the New York Times, CNN, and others have ignored it.

“If you look at the three big flashpoints in American foreign policy today, Ukraine, Russia, and China, the Biden family has received funds, millions of dollars in some cases and tens of millions of dollars, from powerful individuals connected to the government in each of those countries,” Schweizer said. “Hunter Biden and Joe Biden had intermingled finances, and Hunter Biden was paying monthly bills, paying for repairs on his home.

Schweizer said the laptop includes messages to and from Hunter Biden that show him taking in at least $31 million in shady international dealings.

“These are the deals that are enunciated,” Schweizer said. “There are emails in which foreign nationals are saying, ‘I just acquired $5 million into your account please confirm receipt,’ so it’s clear in black and white, but it’s important to point out in the case of China the $31 million came from four Chinese businessmen, each one with links to the highest level of Chinese intelligence.”

Last year, the Daily Mail reported emails showing Hunter Biden organizing an April 2015 dinner at Georgetown’s Cafe Milano with a guest list including Ukrainian energy giant Burisma adviser Vadym Pozharskyi.

“Dad will be there but keep that btw us for now,” the younger Biden wrote in a March 2015 email.

Pozharskyi sent an email on April 17, 2015, saying: “Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together.” The president’s team has denied such a meeting ever took place.
