A restaurant in northern Virginia is apologizing after posting a “Patriot Day 2022” menu on social media, which had menu items named for the 9/11 terror attacks.
The Clubhouse at Aquia Harbour in Stafford promoted the specials for Sunday, including “Pentagon Pie,” a chocolate silk pie, “Fight 93 redirect,” a hot crab dip with crostini, “First Responder Flatbread,” and “2977 Chowder,” which signifies the number of people who were killed on that day in 2001.

George White, a restaurant manager, apologized on social media following outcry from some in the community about the menu.
“My intention was to bring attention to that horrific day 21 years ago. To honor those who lost so much as well as those who gave everything that day. We will have a new theme tomorrow,” White tweeted.
