After delivering a lengthy speech reminding supporters of all of his accomplishments, Herman Cain announced that he would suspend his campaign this afternoon.
Cain angrily criticized the media for reporting allegations of sexual harassment and an alleged affair, allegations which hurt his wife and family.

“These false and unproved allegations continue to be spinned in the media and in the court of public opinion so as to create a cloud of doubt over me and this campaign and my family,” Cain said.
Cain announced a “Plan B,” in which he would continue to be vocal in the Republican campaign and promote his 9-9-9 plan. Cain also stated that he planned to make an endorsement in the 2012 race.
“The race for president is a dirty game, it’s a dirty dirty game,” Cain said. “I think that the American people are sick of this.”
