President Trump’s third visit to the annual Army-Navy college football game was met with cheers.
Trump attended to the storied legacy game Saturday, where he participated in the ceremonial coin toss while wearing a “Keep America Great” hat. Prior to the game, he visited players for both the Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen in their respective locker rooms.
While in the locker rooms, Trump, alongside Defense Secretary Mark Esper, encouraged the players and told them about how their service in the military can now be delayed until after they end their professional sports careers.
“So what we’re doing now is you’ll go out, and you’ll make a fortune,” Trump told the Army team. “And after you are all finished with your professional career, you’ll go and you’ll serve. And everybody’s thrilled.”
When Trump was introduced to the crowd at the 70,000-seat stadium, many in the crowd cheered, with some chanting “U-S-A.”

Army has a record of 5-7 heading into the game, and Navy boasts a 9-2 season. The game is the 120th meetup between the two rivals. Navy leads the series 60-52-7.
