Liberals are leaving no stone unturned in their war against free speech.
Last Thursday, social justice warriors stormed a Young Americans for Freedom meeting at the University of Kansas and verbally assaulted the conservative students over safe spaces, white privilege and institutional racism.
“We didn’t come here to talk to you, we have something that we need to say,” one leftist said, despite repeated pleas and claims that liberals and progressives make for more “dialogue” on college campuses. This was a straight-up ambush.
Surrounded by over 100 radical protesters, the handful of conservative students attempted to interject with rebuttal arguments and facts, but were continually shut down with screams of “white privilege!”
They even took time to bash the Constitution, where one SJW said, “Your constitution is flawed, if you didn’t know.”
When one YAF student retorted by defending the Constitution, and saying it’s “the law of the land”, they were immediately met with a tirade from one SJW, shouting, “It’s the law of the land?! The law of the land was created with your entitled ass!”
At one point during the heated confrontation, one SJW suggested that the conservative group remove themselves from the university.
“Usually colleges are very liberal places,” the protestor noted. “So maybe you should go to a more conservative setting, cause usually [colleges] are progressive places.”
In response to these displays of leftist bullying, YAF has advised students across the country to respond to such confrontations by asking them: “Who gave you the power to obstruct free speech on our campus? Who gave you the power to patrol conservative speech? Under what rule is this your responsibility?”
Colleges and universities are meant to be forums that allow students to freely exchange ideas, no matter how controversial or offensive. SJWs want free speech so long as it’s the type of speech that satiates their sensitive and fragile minds.
