President Trump chastised the Washington Post on Tuesday for publishing a front-page story about a woman who claims he forcibly kissed her more than a decade ago, claiming the incident “never happened.”
“A woman I don’t know and, to the best of my knowledge, never met, is on the FRONT PAGE of the Fake News Washington Post saying I kisser her (for two minutes yet) in the lobby of Trump Tower 12 years ago,” the president said in a series of tweets.
“Never happened!” he added. “Who would do this in a public space with live security cameras running.”
Trump continued, “Another False Accusation. Why doesn’t [the Washington Post] report the story of the women taking money to make up stories about me? One had her home mortgage paid off. Only Fox News so reported … doesn’t fit the Mainstream Media narrative.”

Rachel Crooks, 35, accused the president last year of kissing her against her will at the Trump Tower lobby in 2006. Crooks, who was 22 at the time of the alleged incident, claims she was waiting to catch the elevator when she noticed Trump and decided to introduce herself.
“He took hold of my hand and held me in place like this,” she said, according to the Washington Post story published Tuesday. “He started kissing me on one cheek, then the other cheek. He was talking to me in between kisses, asking where I was from, or if I wanted to be a model. He wouldn’t let go of my hand, and then he went right in and started kissing me on the lips.”
Crooks, who is running for Congress in Ohio, joins several dozen women who have accused the president of sexual misconduct or claimed he engaged in extramarital affairs.
