We’ve heard plenty about the press being invasive to candidates, but how about candidates being invasive to the press?
On Wednesday, John McCain’s organization sent out an e-mail to media covering his campaign. In an effort to plan for travel to Michigan and South Carolina following the New Hampshire primary, the missive stated that the following information would be needed from reporters wishing to accompany the senator: Full legal name, date of birth, primary residence and … weight?!?!
Of course, given the smallish planes that campaigns sometimes use, it can be necessary to balance the weight. But talk about full disclosure.
