House Minority Whip Steve Scalise was seen with a “missing children”-inspired milk carton featuring Vice President Kamala Harris as he continues criticizing her for not visiting the border despite being tapped as the administration’s migration point person.
“MISSING AT THE BORDER,” the milk carton says, accompanied by a photo of Harris.

“President Biden puts Kamala Harris in charge of it, and she refuses to go down. Maybe because she doesn’t want to be associated with this disgraceful policy,” Scalise said Wednesday.
KAMALA HARRIS HASN’T VISITED BORDER SINCE BEING NAMED MIGRATION POINT PERSON
“But if she’s the vice president of the United States and the president put her in charge of this, Vice President Harris needs to go down to the border and see this for herself because maybe she would then encourage President Biden to reverse his policies that have failed.”
President Joe Biden named Harris the administration’s point person regarding migration on March 24, with her focusing on long-term efforts in Central America.
“I can think of nobody who is better qualified to do this,” Biden said at the time.
Twenty-two days later, she has still not made a trip to the border where the immigration crisis continues.
She was spotted in a Chicago bakery, spent Easter weekend in her California home, met with California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and traveled to Connecticut to speak with a Boys and Girls Club.
It was announced on Wednesday that Harris will also visit Mexico and Guatemala to discuss the root causes of migration but would not say if she will visit the border.
“The president has asked [Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro] Mayorkas to address what is going on at the border, and he has been working very hard and is showing some progress,” Harris said. “I have been asked to lead the issue of addressing the root causes, similar to what the then-vice president did many years ago.”

The vice president garnered a torrent of GOP criticism last month after a video circulated of her laughing when she was asked about visiting the border.
“Not today,” Harris responded before laughing. “But I have before, and I’m sure I will again.”
