Trump condemns white supremacist murderer. Liberals still attack him

Following the horrific attack by a known white supremacist going on a racist tirade on two teenage girls on a subway in Portland that left two of their defenders dead and another wounded, people were outraged by President Trump’s lack of response and condemnation.

On Monday, President Trump tweeted from the POTUS account that the attacks were “unacceptable.”

Retired Army veteran and married father of four, Ricky John Best, 53, and recent college grad Taliesin Myrddin Namkai-Meche, 23, died on Friday trying to defend Destinee Magnum, 16, and her Muslim friend wearing a hijab on the subway after Jeremy Joseph Christian targeted the two young girls. He pulled out a knife and stabbed both Best and Namkai-Meche to death, and wounded Micah David-Cole Fletcher, 21, who is now expected to recover in the hospital.

“He was saying that Muslims should die,” said Dyjuana Hudson, a mother of one of the girls told The Oregonian. “That they’ve been killing Christians for years.”

It’s a terrible tragedy, and while the violence was politically and religiously charged, liberals are keen on putting the blame on President Trump. But after Trump condemned the hateful attack, his critics could not believe he actually was horrified and wrote a something acknowledging the crime.

Someone even trolled Trump by saying his daughter Ivanka wrote this tweet.

It’s sad that people remain so partisan that they cannot let go of their own biases in the face of tragedy. Is Trump so evil that he cannot be genuinely horrified by an act of violence inspired by hate? There’s literally nothing Trump can do to win over his critics. He’s doing something wrong at every turn.

People are trying to pin the blame of Christian’s horrific killings on Trump because he might have supported him during the election. That shouldn’t matter. The Left is generalizing all Trump supporters as racist, sexist, white supremacist bigots, but feel it’s unfair when Muslims are generalized for being terrorists or wanting non-believers to die. It should be noted that both lines of thinking are wrong. All Trump supporters aren’t bigots just like all Muslims aren’t terrorists.

Seeing others, like Muslims or Trump and his supporters, as less than human has only led to further escalation of violence. If people learned to let go of their own hatred and see that we’re all human beings, they can then start engaging folks who are different from us or on the other side of the aisle.
