Everyone has a dog these days! Do you think Washington types substitute having a dog for kids or a life?
Well, I can’t speak for everyone, but I certainly substitute dogs for kids, and have no problem admitting that — not that dogs talk back any less! It’s not a bad thing, though. I think that most people who have dogs are better people anyway. It takes some work to be responsible to something other than yourself.
Is there a common mistake you see people make with their dogs?
Yes — it’s always about the food they feed their dogs, actually. You have to read the labels and understand that animal byproduct meal and beet pulp really don’t belong in your dog’s food bowl. So many health problems are prevented by just feeding something healthier.
Where do you stand on people who dress their dogs in outfits?
Ha ha, this is a much more serious topic! Have you ever seen the look on a dog’s face when you put them in clothes? Like, really looked? They are plotting your death. Thank God they don’t have thumbs.
Dog parks in the city — great or horrible?
Dog parks are great! The dogs all get together to do dog things, while their owners all run around and act horrified that their dogs are doing dog things in public.
There is so much dog poop around, what is with people who don’t clean up after their pets?
Have you ever been around someone who did not pick up after their dog? There’s poop on the ground because some people think it’s OK to be lazy and disrespectful when they think nobody else is looking.
