President Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen retweeted one of Trump’s biggest critics on Tuesday, in which Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters called the president “a liar.”

“Trump is a liar. Everything that comes out of his mouth is designed to distract,” Waters wrote Monday. “#TrumpRussia story is real. Trump’s presidency is the joke.”
In a lesser-noticed tweet, Cohen responded to Waters, asking whether she should have “some proof before convicting” Trump and others.
“As someone who is entrusted to represent American values; like justice, shouldn’t you have some proof before convicting Pres. and others?” he wrote.
