Man gets seven years for Logan Circle heist
A Suitland man was sentenced to seven years in prison for robbing a bank near Logan Circle in Northwest D.C.
Prosecutors said Kevin Dupree, 43, admitted to robbing the PNC Bank located at 1405 P St. NW on Dec. 16, 2010. He handed the teller a note that said “no dye pack” and lifted his shirt to reveal a gun, according to charging documents. The teller handed over $5,915, the documents say, and Dupree left the bank.
The next day, Dupree called 911, said he had robbed a bank and turned himself in. Police searched his home and found a toy gun, which he said he had used in the robbery.
