Belated Arbor Day
The family that plants trees together, stays together. That was Jenna Bush, er, Hager and hubby Henry Hager joining President and Mrs. Bush at the White House Saturday for commemorative tree plantings. But let’s hope that, when it comes to lawn work, Henry will be more chivalrous than his father-in-law: the president stood by clapping while his wife shoveled dirt.
Jenna was also in town for Saturday’s National Book Festival and was a crowd favorite. Two women came from Pennsylvania to see Jenna and swamp stories about being fraternal twins. And a sorority sister from Kappa Alpha Theta asked Jenna if she could give her the sorority’s “secret handshake” and Jenna gladly obliged.
