Suspect in Hereford fatal house-crash had been arrested 28 times

The Parkton man charged with stealing a pickup he later crashed into a northern Baltimore County house — killing a 46-year-old woman — has been charged with crimes 28 times, court records show.

Baltimore County police on Wednesday charged Aubry C. Miller Jr., 30, of the 20700 block of Old York Road, with theft, burglary and car theft, said police spokesman Cpl. Mike Hill.

Miller allegedly crashed the stolen vehicle into Mary Patricia Sullivan’s house around 5 a.m. Tuesday on the 16800 block of York Road in Hereford, immediately killing Sullivan, who was sleeping on the first floor, police said.

Miller stole the truck between 9:30 p.m. Monday and 4:51 a.m. Tuesday from a home in Sparks, Hill said.

The truck’s owner had just noticed the vehicle was missing when the crash occurred, Hill added.

Miller has not yet been charged in Sullivan’s death, because Baltimore County prosecutors, who have the final say in that decision, are continuing to investigate.

“Once we have all the facts, we’ll make a decision,” said Scott Shellenberger, the county’s top prosecutor, adding his office has met with crash investigators and the police’s homicide division.

Maryland records show Miller has been arrested in Baltimore City and Baltimore, Anne Arundel, Howard, and Prince George’s counties in 28 different criminal cases.

He was convicted of theft in Prince George’s in 1999 and again in 2001; two thefts in Anne Arundel in 2000 and another in 2004; unauthorized removal of property in Baltimore County in 2003 and again in 2006; and theft and assault in Howard in 2005.

He’s wanted by police in York County, Pa., as well, Hill said.
