Vice President Kamala Harris and Secretary of State Antony Blinken are hosting a luncheon for Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
The luncheon is expected to begin at 12:40 p.m. EDT from the State Department. The event comes a day after President Joe Biden hosted a state dinner for the Australian prime minister.

Albanese’s trip to Washington, D.C., comes as part of a landmark deal called AUKUS, which aims to rally U.S. allies in the Indo-Pacific and Europe in economic competition with China.
