Virginia elections: Republican David Owen defeats Susanna Gibson in House race
Republican David Owen defeated Democrat Susanna Gibson, giving Republicans a needed seat in order to retain control of the Virginia House of Delegates.
Owen, a businessman, defeated Gibson, a nurse practitioner, in the Short Pump-based 57th District, chalking up a win in one of the closest races of the cycle.
