SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Authorities say a 34-year-old man is hospitalized after he was stabbed by a kitchen co-worker during a fight in a popular Saratoga Springs restaurant.
Police say 50-year-old David Hernandez of Schuylerville was working at the Circus Cafe in downtown Saratoga when he got into an argument with a kitchen co-worker around 8 p.m. Monday.
Officers say Hernandez punched the man in the face several times, then stabbed him in the back with a 10-inch carving knife.
Hernandez walked out of the restaurant but was found soon after in a nearby parking garage.
He was charged with assault and is being held in the Saratoga County Jail on $10,000 bail. It couldn’t be determined if he has a lawyer.
The victim is in in stable condition Tuesday at Albany Medical Center.
