Two Border Patrol agents are expected to testify Tuesday before the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability about their experiences at the U.S.-Mexico border.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) is expected to lead the committee’s first investigative hearing on the state of the border. Tucson Sector Chief Patrol Agent John Modlin and El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Gloria Chavez will speak to the committee about the unprecedented influx of immigrants at the southern border since President Joe Biden took office as part of a fact-finding exercise.
The hearing will take place hours before Biden is expected to deliver his State of the Union address at 9 p.m. before both chambers of Congress.
