New York's highest court has ordered the state to draw new congressional districts ahead of the 2024 elections. The decision from the New York Court of Appeals on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2023, could give Democrats an advantage in what is expected to be a battleground for control of the U.S. House.

The New York Court of Appeals ruled 4-3 for the state’s congressional districts to be redrawn ahead of the 2024 election in a win for Empire State Democrats.
