ACLU under fire for making Ginsburg abortion quote gender-neutral

The American Civil Liberties Union erased gender-specific words of a quote by Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Saturday in a tribute to the former Supreme Court justice on the anniversary of her death.

As part of its tribute to the “champion” of “gender equality,” the ACLU tweeted one of Ginsburg’s quotes but changed it to make women “people” and all female pronouns “they” or “their.”
